This simple process of consulting your future self — seemingly playful but pertinent — may shock you like a stun gun. Answer the questions anyway (don’t just read them). The discoveries are quite enlightening.

Dear Future Self:

  1. Are you willing to consult your future self with honest, integrity and clarity? It’s game-changing.

Dear Future Self:

  1. What is it that you want?
  2. Why do you want it?

Dear Future Self:

  1. How can you get started?
  2. Are you willing to see it through?

Dear Future Self:

  1. If failure’s not an option, what are you doing to succeed?

Dear Future Self:

  1. You may find you’re thinking or desiring but not actually doing much or what needs to be done to succeed. Thinking can disguise itself as doing. Yet it’s not really. Think about this a moment. Are you thinking or desiring, or are you actually doing?

  1. It will take work, do you agree?
  2. You can do it, do you…
