You’ve likely heard the advice — Don’t put off until tomorrow that which you can do, face or confront today. It can be annoying. It can be cliche. It can be — well, freeing!!

Not immediately dealing with something can on the surface provide a twisted sense of relief.

In reality, though, living life in limbo is more stressful than addressing whatever the thing is.

Set Yourself Free

Do that thing. Face that obstacle. Confront that situation. Today. Although difficult at times, doing so is always much more freeing than living life lingering in limbo.

  • Pick one thing. (start with something small and simple, especially if you have a lot of things you’re putting off)
  • Do it. Face it. Confront it. (try to ignore any feelings of anxiety, fear or perfectionism — just do it — I know, it’s hard, but just give it a go)
  • How did you feel after? (you may feel initially anxious, but shortly thereafter, the feeling of relief and accomplishment should settle in just knowing ‘that thing’ has been faced)
  • Repeat through life for continued
